GMGM

The research unit Génétique Moléculaire Génomique Microbiologie | GMGM  (Unistra/CNRS) was created on January 1st 2005.  Dr. I. Tarassov leads the unit since 2013. GMGM is structured in two Departments: "Microorganisms, Genomics and Environment" and "Molecular and Cellular Genetics"

Objectives :

Studying fundamental mechanisms of functioning and dysfunctioning of the genomes in prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells and of various intracellular trafficking pathways.

Models :

Microorganisms (yeasts and bacteria) and human cells

Approaches :

Genetics, microbiology, genomics, proteomics, cell biology, biochemistry, molecular biology, bioinformatic
